Dispatchwork
“Dispatchwork”는 얀 보만이 레고를 사용하여 수백 년 된 구조물, 전 세계의 공공장소 및 기타 침식된 지역들을 위해 시작된 10년 이상 진행된 프로젝트이다. 완성까지 오랜 시간이 걸리는 이 프로젝트는 작가의 상상력을 통해 통로와 창문을 숨겼고 공간을 채웠으며 여러 가지 색상의 블록을 통해 일상적인 공간을 활성화하도록 노력하였다. 이 프로젝트는 한국, 미국 등 다양한 지역 또는 그의 고향인 베를린에서 볼 수 있었고 홈페이지를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
“Dispatchwork” is a more than 10-year-old project initiated by Jan Vormann using Legos for centuries-old structures, public spaces, and other eroded areas worldwide. This project, which takes several hours to complete, hides passageways and windows through the artist's imagination, fills the space, and tries to revitalize everyday areas through multi-colored blocks. This project was seen in various regions such as Korea and the United States or his hometown of Berlin and can be found on the website.

얀 보만 (Jan Vormann 1983년생)은 자신을 연구자이자 탐험가라고 생각하는 예술가들과 www.dispatchwork.info 를 통해 자유롭게 자신의 생각을 세계와 공유하고 있다. 작가는 이것을 공공 공간을 위한 "멀티 플레이어 게임"이라고 표현하지만 "Participatory"라는 단어가 어울리는 참여형 아트 프로젝트가 완성되었다. 파견 작업으로 카자흐스탄, 쿠알라룸푸르, 케이프타운, 알래스카에서 호주 등의 국가들과 진정한 국제 커뮤니티를 결합했고 만리장성 또한 이미 이런 창의적인 방식으로 보존되어 왔다. 어느 순간부터 작업은 아이들이 장난감 벽돌을 가져 가는 것이 부수적인 피해로 간주되지 않는 선에서 고려되었다. The artist, who also sees himself as a researcher-explorer, has freely shared his idea with the world through a website, www.dispatchwork.info. The result is a participatory art project that truly deserves the description "participatory," although Vormann describes it more as a "multiplayer game" for public spaces. With interventions in Kazakhstan, Kuala Lumpur, and Cape Town, and from Alaska to Australia, Dispatch Work unites a truly international community. Even the Great Wall of China has already been creatively "repaired" in this way. That children might take the toy bricks with them at some point is not viewed as collateral damage but taken into account. On the grounds of the Völklingen Ironworks, Vormann found predestined conditions to continue his work—whether on his own or with beaming children during the workshop on Erzplatz [Ore Square] on the opening weekend of the Urban Art Biennale 2022. Jan Vormann has used LEGOs to craft “dispatchwork” for centuries-old structures, public spaces across the globe, and other eroded areas. Within these pieces, which take hours and hours to create, he hides passageways and windows that ignite the imagination. The multi-colored blocks can sometimes have a glitch-like effect, when activating otherwise everyday spaces. These projects have appeared in Korea, various parts of the U.S., his native Berlin, and beyond.
